Pix-Quest | Top-Down Pixel Art Tileset

Thank you for visiting this page and welcome to Pix-Quest! This top-down asset pack is inspired by wonderful pixel art style games, such as Stardew Valley, Zelda, and more! This includes nearly 500 unique tiles and pixel assets (on a 16 color palette reminiscent of old school games) which are appropriately labelled to get you easily started on building and designing any game or game levels without any hassle! The assets are great for use with Unity projects and RPG Maker projects, as well as other game engines and tile editors. The following sections give a brief overview of what is included in this asset pack and the roadmap for future additions. I hope you enjoy and look forward to your feedback!*

Top-Down Tiles and Scenery

This asset pack includes a wide range of both spring & winter tiles, such as unique grass and dirt tiles, rough and clean paths, and also relevant objects and foliage such as trees, signs, chests, and more! The asset pack now also includes both small and large tree types, 5 unique shrubs, and rocks, amongst other decorative objects. In addition to this, I have also revamped and upgraded the cliffs (with rough and grassy cliff assets as well!) and path tiles, to give you more flexibility with what you create as well as fence tiles. More importantly than the upgraded tiles, Pix-Quest tileset now also includes both rough and clean water tiles, with corresponding animation tiles to bring more life to your top down projects! Lastly, two pre-designed buildings have also been made to help decorate your game worlds, and an upgraded building update is in the works (see roadmap for more details.)

Items and UI Sprites

Need to level up with some potions, or buy something from a shop using gems? This asset pack has got your back!  Small gems include 2 frame animations, and potions are currently available in three different colors and formats for unique combinations!

Main Character Sprites

Meet Pix-Quest's main character! This asset pack currently includes walking animation sprites in all four directions, as well as an idle sprite. See the roadmap for more details on what is yet to come!

A lot of hard work has gone into crafting this asset-pack for you, but there is more in store for the pix-quest series as well as this asset pack. I am currently working on the following:

Usage of this Asset-Pack

• You may use these assets in both commercial and non-commercial projects.
• Crediting the creator (pixelsnorf) when using these assets is greatly appreciated
• The only way you MAY NOT use these assets is by (re)selling them as your own work. 
• I want to encourage as much use of these assets as possible, so if you have any questions about using them in a certain way please do not hesitate to ask me!

Free vs. Paid Version (and donations)

At the end of the day I want anyone with a creative spirit to be able to create projects with my assets, regardless of budget! Originally, Pix-Quest Tileset started as a completely free pack, and as such I have released an expanded free download version which includes enough to get any creator started (and it's also a great way to test out the assets before purchasing the full pack!) I have also included the v1.0 assets in both the free and the paid version.The free version includes a variety of both ground and water tiles (approximately 35% of the paid version) for your use, as well as a less robust object asset sheet. 

As I have put a significant amount of work into designing, organizing, and revamping this asset pack, I have also decided to include a full, paid version release, which includes all currently available tiles, and will include all future updates to the asset pack. By purchasing this pack (and/oror giving a donation) you are actively supporting me in being able to spend more time creating unique assets for future projects, and also improving my equipment to be able to do so more effectively.
